Actor Sharwanand gained fame with the Tamil audience through his lovely performance in 'Engeyum Eppodhum'. He is now returning to Kollywood after a long gap with the Tamil - Telugu bilingual 'Kanam' aka 'Oke Okka Jeevitham'. Also, this film marks veteran actress Amala Akkineni's comeback to Tamil cinema after 30 years.

Rockstar Anirudh took to his social media handle to launch the trailer of 'Kanam' today. The trailer opens with the lives of two youngsters filled with passion played by Sharwanand and the female lead Ritu Varma. Ramesh Thilak and Sathish play Sharwanand's childhood friends and their life takes a drastic turn when they meet a scientist, played by Nasser, who helps them travel back in time.

Amala Akkineni appears as Sharwanand's mother in the 2.5-minute video. We were shown a beautiful glimpse of a mother & son's endearing tale along with the consequences of time traveling. The trailer ensures us a heartwarming and adventurous ride. 'Kanam' also stars Ravi Raghavendra, M.S. Bhaskar, Vaiyapuri, Yog Jappe, Jay Adithya, Nithyaraj, and Hitesh in supporting roles.

'Kanam' is directed by Shree Karthick and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The movie is slated to hit the screens worldwide on September 9. Jakes Bejoy's musical score, Sujith Sarang's visuals, and Sreejith Sarang's cuts along with a brilliant VFX work by Paper Plane TV & Bheshma Studios have made the trailer much more impressive.
