Ok, looks like Sherin wasn’t really convinced about playing second fiddle to Tamannah in ‘Kanden Kadhalai’, and so, has opted out of the project. The actress has been replaced by a new comer to Kollywood, Sapan Saran.

‘Kanden Kadhalai’, a remake of ‘Jab We Met’, by director Kannan, has Bharath and Tamannah playing the roles immortalized by Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.

Originally, actress Sherin had been asked to play Tamannah’s sister. But the actress, who is trying to make a comeback, did not want to play a sister character and so has turned down the offer.

So, a model turned actress Sapan has been roped in to play this role, her first, in a South Indian film. She is being introduced in Hindi, through Warner Bros SRK, and has also been part of many commercials like KitKat, Scooty Pep and Unibic Cookies. Talk about actresses who turned down roles given to them, and there's Mamta Mohandass, who has turned down the offer to play Ajith's second heroine in ‘Asal’.
