Popular music directors family member drowned to death

Popular Malayalam music director Shibu Chakravarthy's brother-in-law KG Anilkumar (59) drowned to death while bathing at Pillapara Vanchikkadavu in Chalakkudy river. The accident happened at around 4.30 pm on Saturday.

Reportedly, three families including Anil Kumar and Shibu Chakravathy's families were holidaying at the place. While the families were enjoying a bath at the river, Anil Kumar tried to move to a higher part of the river and was swept away. The local residents and Athirappily Fire and Police force immediately launched a search. An hour later, Anil Kumar's body was found on a nearby raft.
