Shika is back

After making her debut last year in 'Kola Kolaya Mundhiraka', a comedy caper, Shika was on a hibernation mode. The actress is now back in Kollywood with a couple of projects, and is happy about her roles in them.
I am currently acting in Odi Vaa and Padam Paarthu Kadhai Sol. Both are interesting scripts and have meaty roles to play. In fact, I was waiting all these days for such kind of roles. This is the reason behind a short break, she says.
Saying that some run-of-the-mill type of roles, including offers to shake legs in item songs, came her way, Shika says she said a firm no to those ideas. I want to do characters which would bring out the actress in me, she says.
In Kannada, Shika played a crucial role in a film titled 'Mayadhantha Male', which is about father-daughter relationship. My target is Kollywood, where I would like to carve a niche for myself, she concludes.
