Shilpa Shirodkar’s Striking First Look as Shobha in ‘Jatadhara’

The eagerly awaited supernatural mythological thriller Jatadhara has taken social media and cine circles by storm with the release of its captivating teaser. Headlined by Nava Dhalapathy Sudheer Babu and Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha, the film promises to present the actors in their most transformative roles yet. The teaser has drawn an overwhelming response, teasing a grand spectacle that fuses mythology, mysticism, and modern storytelling into an intense narrative of cosmic conflict.

Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, Jatadhara positions itself as a Pan-India bilingual film that reinterprets Indian mythology through a dark, contemporary lens. With high-impact visuals and powerful performances, the project is shaping up as one of the year’s most immersive theatrical experiences.

Adding to the intrigue, the makers recently revealed the first look of veteran actress Shilpa Shirodkar as Shobha. In the poster, she appears in a commanding avatar — draped in a black saree, seated before a sacred fire pit adorned with ritualistic elements such as skulls and offerings. The mystical imagery reflects a character consumed by greed and drawn deep into the dark art of tantra. Shirodkar’s intense and solemn presence perfectly complements the supernatural tone of the film.

Jatadhara is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal and Prerna Arora under the banners of Zee Studios and Prerna Arora Productions. The film features music from Zee Music Company with creative direction by Divya Vijay. Supporting the ambitious project are producers Shivin Narang, Nikhil Nanda, Aruna Agarwal, Shilpa Singhal, along with co-producers Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora.

For Prerna Arora, who has previously backed acclaimed projects like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Padman, and Pari, Jatadhara marks another bold step in championing high-concept cinema that reinvents myth-inspired storytelling for modern audiences.
