Short-circuit guts set of 'Sye Raa'

A large set of a huge fort was erected on a piece of land owned by the Chiranjeevi family at Hyderabad's Kokapet. It was here that many scenes from the movie, some of which are battle scenes, were shot months ago.
The news is that the fort and the entire set was on Friday morning gutted by a fire, which was caused by a short-circuit accident. As soon as smoke started billowing from the set, nearby locals alerted authorities. The set was damaged beyond recognition in no time.
The make-believe fort was reportedly erected at a cost of Rs 3 Cr. There is no statement from Konidela Productions at the time of writing this piece.
Starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, the biopic has been directed by Surender Reddy.
