Actress Shraddha Srinath has been known for acting in blockbuster movies like Vikram vedha starring Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, U-turn in Kannada, Jersey starring Nani in Telugu and had last acted in Tamil in Thala Ajith's Ner konda paarvai.

Shraddha Srinath's latest Telugu movie Krishna and his Leela was released directly on Netflix last week, and while the film has been receiving good reviews, many Hindu outfits and netizens have been angered by the movie as the hero is named Krishna and one of the heroines is named Radha, and the hero's character is having multiple love affairs which they consider to be against Hinduism.

The netizens have been tweeting against Krishna and his Leela along with the hashtag #BoycottNetflix which has been trending since yesterday. The following is a sample of the angry tweets against the movie, tweeted by Hindu Jagruti Organisation “We all should #BoycottNetflix as @netflix & @NetflixIndia are indulging is promoting Hinduphobic content via web series like Sacred Games, Leila, Ghoul, Delhi Crime etc. Its recent web series #KrishnaAndHisLeela has tried to insult highly revered Hindu Gods - Shrikrishna & Radha." However, this has turned out to be a free publicity for the Telugu movie.
