Solo is an experimental cinema as five stories folded in one film – Similar attempt was made in Kannada by director VK Prakash Aidondla Aidu' in 2011 and director TN Nagesh in Panchamrutha' in 2015 and before anyone ace director SR Puttanna Kanagal directed Katha Sangama' with three scripts – Hangu, Munithayi and Atithi of Giriddi Govindaraj, Veena and Eshwar Chandra - Tamil super star Rajanikanth, Kalyankumar, Gangadhar Dr B Saroja Devi and Aarathi played lead roles in that film.
