Shruti Haasan is the multitalented daughter of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan who makes her father proud as a singer, model and actress. The lovely lady was in a relationship with British stage actor Michael Corsale for two years and had even attended functions as a couple in India along with Kamal. At the beginning of the year Shruti announced that she has broken up with Corsale and moved on in life by going after her dreams.

Shruti has opened up about her breakup with Michael Corsale during a "Feet Up with Stars " hosted by Lakshmi Manchu has stated that she has no regrets explaining "I was the cool type. I was very innocent and everyone would boss around me. I am a very emotional person that's why they could take over. I would say, it was a very good experience for me. Even now there is no formula. Good people are good at good times and the same people are bad at times. But I have no regrets. It was overall a good experience for me. I have learnt a lot and it was a learning experience. But I always look for that one great love and I will be happy to announce that this is the one I have been waiting for."

Shruti Haasan is currently playing the female lead in 'Laabam' opposite Vijay Sethupathi directed by S. P. Jananathan and jointly produced by the Makkal Selvan and Arumugakumar.
