Shruti Haasan attempting something that took years for Kamal Haasan

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is the true child of Tamil cinema who is an integral part of the industry for over six decades. Though he has written the story of Rajapaarvai' in 1981 and later the screenplays of Apoorva Sagodharargal', Thevar Magan' and Michael Madana Kamarajan' he made his full fledged direction debut Hey Ram' in 2000 a good four decades in to his carreer.
Kamal's daughter Shruti Haasan has carved a niche for herself as a singer, music composer and multilingual actress. She has now started writing a screenplay and plans to make her directorial debut soon. Well the proverbial tiger cub is making double the stride of its parents in such a short time in her career.
