Exciting news for Simbu fans! The much-anticipated 49th film of actor Silambarasan TR, tentatively titled STR 49, officially kickstarted today with a traditional pooja ceremony in Chennai.

The launch event is said to have been attended by the entire film crew, including Simbu himself. The film is directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, who previously helmed the critically acclaimed Parking.

STR 49 is produced by Don Pictures and has already begun to generate strong buzz. It was recently confirmed that Kayadu Lohar will play the female lead, while popular comedian-actor Santhanam has been roped in for a significant role.
