Actor Simbu whose last release was the Sundar C directed Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven had recently started shooting for his 45th movie Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi.

Currently, the movie which was in it's second schedule has been impacted by Coronavirus, and the team is waiting to resume soon. On the other end there were reports of Simbu teaming with director Mysskin for a new movie.

The latest speculation making the rounds is that Simbu might join hands with Arima Nambi, Irumugan director Anand Shankar for an action movie which might have actor Arya in a negative role, and that this movie might be produced by Studio Green. An official clarification on this speculation is expected soon.
