Simbu who starred in the hit film 'Silambattam' produced by LMM has consoled the death of Swaminathan. Simbu wrote an emotional letter in Tamil he revealed that he was very close to the late producer and recalled how he took care of him like a brother when shooting in Sri Lanka for the film.

Simbu lamented the fact that he could not even visit Swaminathan or his family to console them since it was a COVID 19 death. He further assured that he would stand by Swaminathan's sons Ashwin (comedy actor) and Ashok.
