Simbu from "Beep" boy to Jallikattu's "Spark" hero

Jallikattu has united young Tamilians like no other in recent times and scholars are already comparing this agitation to that of the anti - Hindi protests of 1965. What amazes everyone across the country is the emphasis on non-violence and the commendable restraint the young are following which should be a lesson to the future generation of this ancient culture.

Though the protests were already happening scattered across the state, it was Simbu who first initiated a peaceful protest right in front of his house on the 11th of January. ALSO READ: Simbu's Ahimsa route for Jallikattu Following his lead, many came out in silent protest and have grown in great numbers that the entire Tamil population stands united in peace but strong in determination to uphold the culture.

Simbu, just a few months back was on the receiving end of flak for his controversial 'Beep' song which labeled him a chronic bad boy. But the same Simbu has sparked off a great movement in the fight for a noble cause and one can say that he has cleansed and redeemed himself and has emerged a real life hero.
