Versatile actor Simbu joined forces with Gautham Menon and AR Rahman for the third time in the rustic thriller 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'. Produced by Vels Films International, the movie is slated for a grand theatrical release on September 15.

Meanwhile, the latest reports suggest that the makers are arranging a lavish audio launch function for 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' in August month. Also, it is being speculated that the movie team is planning to invite Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagam Kamal Haasan as chief guests to the ceremony.

Siddhi Idnani is playing Simbu's romantic interest in 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' while Neeraj Madhav and Radhika Sarathkumar have played pivotal roles. Jeyamohan has written the film, Siddhartha Nuni handled the cinematography, Thamarai penned the lyrics and Anthony has taken care of the editing.
