Simbu and Siddhi Idnani starrer 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' is gearing up for September 15 release. Gautham Menon and AR Rahman are working with STR for the third time in this film. Touted to be a rustic thriller, the movie's teaser and single songs got a super response from the audience.

Now, the latest reports suggest that a grand audio launch ceremony for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is planned by the makers on September 2. Superstar Rajinikanth is said to be the chief guest of the event, which will take place at the open stadium at Vels University. Both the songs & trailer will be released on the same day.

The function is planned on a massive scale. The team is also aiming to dub and release the movie in Telugu. Written by Jeyamohan, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Neeraj Madhav and Kayadu Lohar in important roles. Siddhartha Nuni is the cinematographer and Anthony is the editor.
