Simbu's 'Maanaadu' goes on floors today

The day has finally arrived and Silambarasan T.R's career-defining film 'Maanaadu' is going on floors today with a Pooja in Chennai and the team will head later on to the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.  The project that has seen many delays in the past couple of years has now firmed up with a two-month-long schedule in which the entire filming will be completed.

'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamachi has the fresh pairing of Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead.  The Yuvan Shankar Raja musical has the ensemble cast of Bharathiraja, SAC, S.J. Suryah, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran and Daniel Anne Pope.
