Actor Simbu is now shooting for his 45th movie Maanaadu, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi in his V House productions. The movie is said to be a political entertainer, and had started shooting last month, after being delayed by a year.

As Maanaadu team is shooting their second schedule in Hyderabad, photos of Simbu, SJ Suryah and Manoj K Bharathi from the shoot turned viral on social media, and it has been revealed that Manoj will be seen as a police officer in Maanaadu for the first time.

Manoj was recently seen playing an important role in Suseenthiran's Champion, and his father, classic director Bharathiraja is also acting in Maanaadu. Also starring Kalyani Priydarshan, SA Chandrasekaran, Premgi, Aravind Akash, Subbu Panchu, Maanaadu has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
