Simbu is a fan favourite actor, who recently rocked the Tamil cinema with his power packed performance in the second single of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu'. Meanwhile, STR's upcoming film, 'Pathu Thala', is gearing up for a theatrical release soon. This movie is the remake of the Kannada blockbuster, 'Mufti'.

Pathu Thala was earlier announced to hit the screens on December 14 but it faced a delay as the shooting went on till the end of November. Now, the post-production works are going on in full swing. Though there hasn't been an official word regarding the new release date, sources tell us that the team is planning a grand theatrical release for Pathu Thala on 30 March 2023.

Directed by Obeli N Krishna, Pathu Thala also stars Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam in important roles. AR Rahman is composing the musical score for this movie which is bankrolled by Studio Green and Pen Studios. Stay tuned for more updates.
