Atman Simbu treated his fans with back-to-back successful ventures like 'Maanadu', 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' and 'Pathu Thala' after he came back from his hiatus. Earlier this year, the tremendous actor left his fans on cloud nine as he announced his next project with director Desingh Periasamy.

Tentatively called 'STR 48', the movie is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. As per sources, STR 48 is set against a historical backdrop with STR playing dual roles. Silambarasan underwent physical training and transformation to arrive at his STR 48 look with long hair. Now, the hot news is that the fans have to wait for STR 48 until 2025.

It is being reported that the shooting for STR 48 will commence by early 2024. The pre-production is taking more duration due to the film's scale and budget. Simbu will have no movie release in 2024 as STR 48 will only be ready by 2025. The actor already did a look test. The makers are planning to do a test shoot before the actual shoot.
