Actor Simbu was last seen  on screen in Vanthaa Rajavathaan varuven directed by Sundar C, and after the movie, the actor was supposed to act in Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu produced by Suresh Kamatchi. However there were lots of delays which lead to an announcement that Simbu is out of Maanaadu.

However after several talks between the producer Suresh Kamatchi and the producers council members, Simbu has reportedly agreed to shoot for Maanaadu from next year, and it has been said that Simbu will join shooting after he returns from Sabarimala.

Now as Simbu is in Sabarimala, a video of the actor has been circulating on social media, where he is seen practicing boxing to get fit for his role in Maanaadu. Fans of the actor are surprised with the actor's effort and the video has now turned viral on social media.
