Mani Ratnam's 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' is one of the most genuine multistarrers ever in Tamil cinema with the stellar cast of Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Arvind Swamy, Aishwarya Rajesh, Dayana Erappa, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jyothika, Thiagarajan, Mansoor Ali Khan, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha among others in the cast.  The film has music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Vairamuthu.

Recently an intense fight scene was canned for 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' in which Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay and Arvind Swamy participated.  It is said that this sequence would be one of the highlights of the film as its a long time since fans saw such a fight that involves their favorite stars all in the same frame.  The film is now in post production and a release date will soon be announced.
