Simbu after a long time came back with a bang earlier this year with the intention of completing his long-pending film 'Maanaadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamachi. The shooting went on in Hyderabad but had to be stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic and the following lockdowns.

After five months now the government has given permission to restart film shootings and it is said that the 'Maanaadu' team is ready to get back on track. It has been revealed that Simbu has spent the past few months to train heavily and from 100 kgs weight he is now reduced his body to 79 kgs losing 21 kgs in the process which is only a dream for many.

The information has been shared by popular producer K.E. Gnanavelraja who has also revealed that Simbu would also be resuming the shooting of the Tamil remake of Kannada film 'Mufti' also starring Gautham Karthik.
