The actress was part of the recently released film "Tourist Family," directed by debut filmmaker Abhishek Jeevanth. The movie features actors like Sasikumar, Mithun J Shankar, Kamalesh, Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bhagavathi Perumal, Ilango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi. It has received a positive reception from fans and has been successful at the box office, marking Simran’s strong comeback.

During a stage event, Simran made a comment referring to a "dabba role" without naming anyone. This led to speculation that she was indirectly criticizing actress Jyothika and her web series “Dabba Cartel,” which went viral on social media.

In her recent interview, Simran clarified that she hasn't watched the web series yet and believes it's receiving good responses. She also mentioned that her comment came from personal pain, not malice. “It was not a planned or calculated statement. I just spoke what I felt deeply,” she said. She added that the words used by the other actress hurt her personally, and although she received a follow-up text message apologizing and stating no offense was intended, she still felt hurt at that moment.

Simran emphasized that she prefers to stay in her own world and speak her truth honestly, without publicly targeting others.
