Sindhu nominated for Padma Bhushan

Badminton player PV Sindhu has been nominated by sports ministry for the prestigious Padma Bhushan. Sindhu's nomination was due for a while, the recent super series victory at Korea paved way for her nomination. She is now the second athlete after MS Dhoni to be nominated for this title.Dhoni who led to wins in T20 and ODI world cup was nominated on September 20th for the same award. The Silver medalist at Olympics Rio was also the recipient of highest civilian honor Padma Shri, a honor which another Badminton superstar Saina was conferred as well.
Sindhu recently climbed back to her No.2 spot with the recent win and is looking to continue her golden streak under the watchful eyes of her mentor Gopichand.
