Bollywood celebrity and playback singer Kanika Kapoor has tested negative for COVID-19 twice. She has been discharged from Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi PG Institute of Medical Sciences, and has been advised to self-isolate at home for two weeks.

"Two days after the first report came back negative, on Sunday evening, her second report, too, was negative," SGPGI Director R K Dhiman told Press Trust of India.

When she tested positive in March, Kanika was the first celebrity in the country to do so. She attended parties by hiding her travel history, authorities said. A Member of Parliament and a former Chief Minister had to quarantine themselves for attending one of the parties. They tested negative.
