Single Movie Review

Young actor Sree Vishnu’s latest film, #Single, directed by Karthik Raju and produced by Geetha Arts, released today. Let’s dive into the review to see how well it impresses the audience.

Story:

Vijay (SreeVishnu) works at a bank and is a cheerful person by nature. However, he feels downhearted about being single without a girlfriend. His only friend Aravind (Vennela Kishore) has a girlfriend, and Vijay is constantly hoping they’ll break up so he can get his friend back. Despite trying to woo many girls, nothing works out for Vijay. Eventually, he falls for Purva (Ketika Sharma), a sales executive. Though Purva doesn’t really like Vijay, she pretends to love him. Meanwhile, Harini (Ivana) chases after Vijay, saying she’s in love with him, but he doesn’t like her. Why doesn’t Vijay like Harini? Why is Harini so desperate to win him over? Why is Purva pretending to love him? How does this complicated love triangle resolve in the end? That’s the crux of the story.

Analysis:

Though the story is simple, the film benefits from a well-written screenplay and witty dialogue, leading to many laugh-out-loud moments in the theater. Sree Vishnu is the heart of the film; his natural comedic timing shines, especially in the romantic scenes of the second half.

Despite crafting fun moments, director Karthik Raju slows down certain scenes, especially in the second half, which affects the film’s momentum. The first half takes too long to introduce the characters.

Over-reliance on comedy slightly drags the storyline. The roles of the heroines could have been written with more strength, and the screenplay should have better handled the conflict between the hero and the heroines. The music is forgettable and doesn’t leave any lasting impact.

Single Movie Review

Director Karthik Raju does well with comedy sequences. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s background score is decent. The cinematography stands out, with many scenes shot beautifully. Praveen’s editing is solid, and producers Vidya Koppineedi, Bhanu Pratap, and Riyaz Chowdary have ensured high production values.

Vennela Kishore also delivers an excellent performance and adds plenty of humor. Scenes involving Sree Vishnu, Ketika, Ivana, and Vennela Kishore are quite entertaining. The lead actresses, Ketika and Ivana, perform well. Ivana impresses with her glam and acting skills.

Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad also makes a mark toward the end. Supporting actors like VTV Ganesh, Prabhas Srinu, and Satya bring great comedic timing, adding to the fun. Their characters are well-integrated into the narrative.

Verdict:

#Single is a fun-filled rom-com and family entertainer that keeps audiences engaged without being boring. The performances, character interactions, and humor drive the film. While the second half has some slow and routine scenes, the overall experience leaves viewers genuinely entertained.

Rating: 2.75 / 5.0
