'SIR' Teaser: Dhanush's Tilak rails against commercializing education

Dhanush's Telugu-Tamil bilingual 'SIR' seems to be one sincere and elaborate dig at the education mafia. Its teaser, which was released today, convinces us that the October release is going to be a masala drama with a host of commercial ingredients.

Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas have cast Dhanush in the role of a junior lecturer who dislikes the commercialization of the education system. He wants the child attending sarkari schools to get a bang for no buck. That's why he rants against the divine thing called knowledge getting adulterated. From the 'prasadam' in the temple, it has become an expensive five-star hotel dish, he laments.

Producers S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, together with director Venky Atluri, have ensured that the product is authentic. Dhanush needs to be lauded for dubbing his voice for his very first Telugu movie. He has also donned more than a couple of get-ups, with the last one in the teaser being a traditional one reminiscent of the 1950s.

Co-starring Malayalam star Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Sreenu, Pammi Sai, Hyper Adhi and others, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar. Production Design is by Avinash Kolla.
