"Love, War and Everything In Between. The epic unfolds now! (sic)," the makers of 'Sita Ramam' said, plugging the film's trailer. Ahead of the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial's theatrical release on August 5, we get a glimpse of the intense nature of the film.

In 1964, Lieutenant Ram (Dulquer Salmaan) abandoned Kashmir to snow after Sita Mahalakshmi (Mrunal Thakur), a stranger, started writing amusing letters to him, calling herself his wife. About twenty years later, Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna), seemingly with a hidden agenda, comes searching for Sita, whom Murali Sharma's character calls never existed in the first place.

If the 1964 portions are laced with blooming romance, the present has some suspense thrown in. Rashmika's character has scenes with Tharun Bhascker, Vennela Kishore and a host of other characters.

Vyjayanthi Movies has scored half a hit by whipping up an ensemble cast. Vishal Chandrasekhar's music and the visuals (by PS Vinod, Shreyaas Krishna) make for a calm experience as far as the trailer goes.

With dialogues by Hanu Raghavapudi, Jay Krishna, and Raj Kumar Kandamudi, the film has costumes designed by Sheetal Sharma. Sunil Babu is its production designer.
