As we had reported earlier Anirudh Ravichander will be scoring music for a Thala Ajith starrer after the blockbuster 'Vedalam'. This will be Ajith's 57th film which will be directed by 'Vedalam' mastermind Siva and produced by Sathyajothi films.

While the shooting of the film is expected to begin in June, we learn from reliable sources that the director has already commenced the pre-production for 'Thala 57'. The source reveals that Siva has completed the final draft of the script and he is presently stationed in Kodaikanal along with Anirudh working on the tunes for the songs in the film.

'Thala 57' is expected to hit the screens as a grand Pongal 2017 treat. We will have to wait for official confirmation on the project and we can expect that somewhere around Tamil New Year season in the mid of April.
