The trailer of 'Chennai 600028 II' is 2 minutes and 16 seconds long and the impression this trailer gives can be summed up in just one sentence: "The Boys are Back...!!!".

The trailer starts with the nostalgic mention of 'Saroja Samaan Nikalo' song of 'Chennai 600028' that released in 2007 and then the story moves on to the present (2016). Almost all the boys of the 'Sharks' team are married and have a family. They visit Theni district to attend Jai's marriage and get involved in a problem. They have to win a cricket match with the local team lead by Vaibhav to get over that problem.

Apart from comedy, camaraderie, and fun retained from its first part, the sequel also promises to be more sentimental and emotionally strong when compared to its predecessor. Looks like there are many emotionally charged scenes where the boys struggle to balance their family life and friendship.

The dialogues are as youthful as usual by Venkat Prabhu. Especially the cuss word uttered by Jai in the last few seconds of the trailer is sure going to bring the roofs down in theaters (even if they are beeped by the Censor). Yuvan Shankar Raja's songs and BGM add power to the proceedings. Rajesh Yadav seems to have opted a rustic tone for the sequences in Theni which matches well with the settings.

One thing that the trailer promises big is the entertainment that is usually expected of a Venkat Prabhu outing will not be missing in this film. Let's hope that this promise is fulfilled on November 10, 2016, when the film hits the screens.
