Today the foremost champion of traditional food grains of Tamil Nadu Nel Jayaraman who rescued and preserved 174 varieties passed away losing his battle with cancer. Right from the time he was admitted to a local hospital in Chennai, Sivakarthikeyan has been taking care of all the medical expenses and also visited him regularly to console him.

Sivakarthikeyan has completely taken care of all expenses to shift Nel Jayaraman's body to his native place and also to complete his last rites. The frontline actor has also promised to take care of the educational expenses of Jayaraman's son as well. Kudos to Siva for this continuous support for a great soul of the Tamil soil.
