Director actor S.J.Suryah is acting in one of the lead roles in new wave director Karthik Subbaraj's 'Iraivi'. His latest directorial 'Isai' in which he played the lead role has been adjudged as one of the profitable films of the year 2015, apart from getting critical acclaims for its novel content.

Suryah in a recent interview has said that his yearning for life has been achieved when an established director like Karthik Subbaraj said that he wrote a role for him (Surya) and cast him in that role.

The 'Kushi' director also revealed that he has been acting in two other films apart from 'Iraivi' and the announcement on the same can be expected soon. However he did not reveal whether one among them was a film to be directed by Selvaraghavan. Apart from these he will be directing one film this year.

Suryah has also revealed his plans to revive his pet project 'Elumalai Chithra' for which he made a photo shoot with Silambarasan and Asin as lead actors somewhere around 2005-06 and eventually dropped it. He said he will be acting in the lead role in the film apart from directing it probably by the end of this year. .
