With social networking medium being much more active than ever before, there have been instances when films or their trailers have been spoofed online. Though certain filmmakers have not been too pleased with the developments, Balaji - which has often been credited for its innovative marketing and promotional campaign - has done just the opposite. It has joined the party by encouraging independent filmmakers to actually devise a couple of spoofy videos on their upcoming release 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'.

Says Alpana Mishra, CEO-Balaji, "We do have a sense of humour! When Promoshop came to us and said that they wanted to do couple of spoofy videos on 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects', we gave then a go ahead. Not just that as we also agreed to promote them on our official online channel."

Result has been hilarious, what with Promoshop going all out to make sure that the outcome exceeded expectations.

The first spoof video has a couple enjoying a few cozy moments while watching 'Ooh Laa Laa' from 'The Dirty Picture'. While that is 'before marriage', the scenario 'after marriage' is a huge contrast, what with the couple watching Balaji's 'Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' with everyone from family members to neighbors to even drivers joining the show, hence resulting in zero private moments for the couple.

The second spoof video takes things even further as it narrates the tale of a hapless youngster once his girlfriend changes from being an Lovebird to Angrybird. Before marriage he is shown to be totally committed to his girlfriend as he drops even critical assignments at office and is readily available for her at any moment. However the scenario is different post marriage. Not just is he utterly bored with his wife's phone calls, he just nods his head in agreement to whatever she says for minutes and hours at stretch. This isn’t all as the hilarious video showcases everyone from his friends to office boys to courier delivery boys to monks to even the lookalike of the Prime Minister of India getting involved.

How exactly does that transpire? Well, the two videos have all the answers. As for the complete picture, it would be pretty much in the offering on 28th February when the Farhan Akhtar-Vidya Balan film releases all over.
