Slumdog's - Hidden Truth Unravelled

Of course, everyone of us got stuck in shock to see the young Jamal jumping into drainage-like-pit to catch a glimpse on Big B... Here's our British Filmmaker unravelling the secrets of filming this portion.
What we see in the film is an actual shithole, but what the crew did was place a round tank into the shithole and fill the tank with peanut butter and chocolate, so that the kid actually would taste sweet if we licked him.
But on screen it took a totally different perception!
In the words of the director it is quite amazing what people's imagination can do. Maybe that is one of the reasons that scene created a very disgusting effect. When asked if the child artist was ok in doing the scene the director is all praise for the kid, who was actually cool about doing the shot.
Danny Boyle loves to be with kids because of the energy he gets while being around them. It is really contagious.
