Pop singer Smitha's Ishana (A Path To The Divine) was released today at a function held at N Convention centre in Hyderabad. The first copy was handed over by Keeravani to Brahmanandam. The two video albums meant to promote the audio album were unveiled by Siddarth and Rajamouli.

Smitha said, I was initially nervous about this project. I feel that I could do it with the divine inspiration of Sadguru (Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation). I thank my parents. The Dhyana Linga video was shot by Sameer Reddy, while Tarun Kiwal, the country’s top cinematographer, shot the second video. The album also has six Sanskrit slokas and hymns in praise of Shiva, Devi and the Gurus. All the proceeds from sale of this album will go in funding the various activities taken up by Isha Foundation in the fields of education, environment and village development.

Keeravani said, Her perseverance and the determination to pursue a goal till it is attained, are god's gift to Smitha.

Brahmi appreciated the singing, dancing and musical talent of Smitha. He was happy that she took up an album with a spiritual flavour to it. Rajamouli described Smitha as a bubbly pop singer and hoped that the album will be a super it.
