Smuggler
‘Smuggler’ – a negative title for a heroine oriented cinema. Priya Haasan was in lead roles in ‘Jambada Hudugi’ and ‘Bindhaas Hudugi’ in the past. She worked on the script more than action in her previous films. Now in her third home production film ‘Smuggler’, Priya Haasan has concentrated on action extravaganza. There are three shades for Priya Haasan in this film with a social message. A lady who comes to Agrahara (colony) finds it difficult to steal the hearts of the people. She had stolen diamonds, gold etc. but how tough it is to steal the heart is the crux of the film.
As lead action heroine she takes on baddies on screen like Suman, Sayyaji Shinde and Ravi Kaale. It is Rainbow groups presented film produced by Gowramma and Priya Hassan. Kamal Siphani is co producer. The film was in the cans for three years.
Ramana is the counterpart for her in the film. Sayyaji Shindhe, Ramesh Bhat, Relengana Shakuntala, Mithra, Suman, Pandiraj and others are in the cast.
K Veeru has written the screenplay and directed the film along with Priya Haasan for this film. Sahadev is cameraman. Chakri music, Sanjeev Reddy editing are part of this film.
For action portion handling Ram Lakshman, Ram Shetty, Kaurava Venkatesh, Thriller Manju handled stunts in this film.
