WATCH: Popular Snake expert Vava Suresh bitten by cobra, hospitalised in critical condition

Kerala's popular Snake expert Vava Suresh's efforts to capture venomous snakes and to educate the people about snakes and their behaviour is widely acknowledged. Much to the shock of his fans, Vava Suresh has been hospitalized in critical condition after being bitten by a cobra snake during a rescue mission on Monday. The incident happened at around 4.30 in the evening, when Suresh tried to catch a cobra at a village near Kottayam district. After catching the cobra, he was trying to place it safely inside a plastic cover. While doing so, the snake creeped up to his right leg and bit him fiercely. Suresh was immediately rushed to a private hospital and was admitted to the ICU. He is reportedly in a critical condition and anti-venom is being administered to him. Video of the rescue mission was shot by the locals and is already doing the rounds on social media.
This is not the first time Suresh is bitten by a snake. He had earlier too encountered numerous incidents like these. His last incident was on 13 February 2020.
