Snehitharu - Story & Dialogues

Debut director Ramnarayan - well known lyricist of Kannada cinema has come very near to the success formula. He knows very well that laughter is the best medicine in this world. In consultation with producer of `Masth Maja Maadi and Appu Pappu' Soundaraya Jagadish - director Ramnarayan has offered a big feast for family audience. It is a sumptuous food with all ingredients perfect but serving of it too long. Precisely the film needed quick narration and the length could have been pruned.

The film with good commercial contents cannot boast of a good story but very funny and engaging moments. However, a few comedy episodes added in the second half - V Manohar as Swamiji in the bus, Sadhu Kokila on motorbike and Sihi Kahi Chandru with his famous `Bombaat Bojana' looks unconnected. Tennis Krishna portion is having some connection to the screenplay at the climax of harbor but the other three remain far away to the film.

You little kid Master Snehith is given prominence in the beginning with a song and naughty behaviors but suddenly he is lost when four youths come up on the screen. The producer Soundaraya Jagadish used the services of super stars Sudeep as cop and Upendra in a song for his first film `Masth Maja Maadi' and in `Appu Pappu' he banked on Cambodia Orangutan and a few comedy actors. In this film he has challenging star Darshan in the beginning and in the end plus Nikitha Tukral for a dance number in the film.

Orphan Master Snehith is growing in the house of ACP Suryaprakash (Darshan) and he is not wanted by elders in the house. They want Suryaprakash to get married and live on his own. Master Snehith is very naughty in the school is often sent out finally makes ACP Suryaprakash to hire a teacher for him. Anjali (Pranitha) comes to this house as teacher. A black don (Arasu) is behind Anjali and he hires four youths - Vijaya Raghavendra, Ravishnaker Gowda, Srujan Lokesh and Tarun Chandra to divert the attention of Anjali to him.

When the foursome meets Anjali and obviously they are bowled over by her beauty. Meanwhile the kidnap of Master Snehith is what shocks everyone. The anti national gang leader demand a terrorist release in exchange of Master Snehith. That gives entry of ACP Suryaprakash.

The foursome and teacher Anjali are on the hunt to trace Master Snehith. They all land up at Mangalore harbor for climax.

It is not challenging role for challenging star of Kannada cinema Darshan. He looks tired. Master Snehith funny acts are a treat to watch. Among the foursome - Srujan and Vijaya Raghavendra captures more attention. The role for Pranitha is limited to songs.

Shobaraj, Arasu, Ramesh Bhat, Girija Lokesh are too good. The comedy episodes of Sadhu Kokila and V Manohar are funny and match the comedy slots in television channels.

V Harikrishna No.1 music director has given two lovely tunes. One of the two is sung by his little son Adhitya. Cinematography by MR Seenu is top class.

There is no flaw as for as editing is concerned and lavishness of producer Soundaraya Jagadish is seen in every frame.

This is worth a `Dekko'!

Score - 7.5/10
