Sohum Shah humbled over National Award win

Sohum Shah, who bagged two National Awards (Ship of Theseus and Gulabi Gang) recently, is on cloud nine.

Receiving such prestigious award from Pranab Mukherjee, the actor-producer is ecstatic. Said Sohum, It’s always great to be encouraged for your work. The National Awards is a very prestigious ceremony to be part of. I are humbled and honoured by the recognition so kindly showered on our film.

Having started off with a dream to be different and seeing it succeed as well has been a really big feat for the actor-producer. And ‘Ship of Theseus’ is one such example. The film got immense appreciation and critical acclaim from all quarters at the time of release and now the film got the recognition of the highest level by bagging the National Award.

Even the high profile release of a documentary, ‘Gulabi Gang’ was an unusual route taken by Sohum Shah and it paid off very positively for the actor producer. It has been an exciting and fulfilling journey so far for Sohum Shah. Sources close to him said, He strongly believed in both the films and is extremely emotional today as both his projects receive the recognition of the highest order in the film industry that they truly deserved.

Going forward as well the actor producer will be seen investing in fresh content and making his mark in the industry with his work. All the best, Sohum!
