Sohum Shah responds to reports about 'Tumbbad 2'

Back in 2018, actor Sohum Shah starred in the indie horror film 'Tumbbad' which turned out to be one of the biggest critical hits of the year and garnered a cult status. Ever since then, fans have been demanding a sequel which could expand the world that 'Tumbbad' had build. Recently, Sohum took to Instagram to share a video of himself donning a lifecasting mask which led people to assume that he's gearing up for 'Tumbbad 2'.
However, the actor has made it clear that he is working on a new project and not on the 'Tumbbad' sequel. According to a report in ETimes, he said, A lot of news is floating in the market with regards to Tumbbad 2. I hope it comes very soon. But right now, I am not working on Tumbbad 2 but working on another project which I will be announcing soon. All I can say about it is that it's very interesting and will be very different from my previous work.
Sohum's statement has sparked a new curiosity among fans who are wondering what could this new project be about.
