'Soodhu Kavvum' released in 2013 produced by C. V. Kumar under his banner Thirukumaran Entertainment marked the debut of maverick filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy. The film made actor Vijay Sethupathi a star after his performances in 'Pizza' and 'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom' was noticed.

Now after a decade 'Soodhu Kavvum 2' was announced and went on floors a couple of weeks back. C.V. Kumar has released the motion poster that shows there is more quirky heists and fun kidnapping coming your way taking after where the original film left.

'Soodhu Kavvum 2' has in the cast Mirchi Shiva, Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. The film is written and directed by S J Arjun with Edwin Louis Viswanath scoring the music, Karthik K Thillai handling the camera and Ignatious Aswin the editing.
