Actor Suriya was seen recently in the action movie Kaappaan directed by KV Anand. Produced by Lyca Productions, the movie had Suriya playing an NSG officer and also starred Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa, Arya and Samuthirakani and has opened well across the world.

Recently Kappaan team was felicitated by farmers association for their message about agriculture in the movie. Few days back, Suriya had also completed shooting of his next release Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara known for directing Irudhi Suttru and Drohi.

It has been revealed that Suriya surprised the 150 member cast and crew of Soorarai Pottru by gifting 8 grams gold coin to each of them. Soorarai Pottru will have Suriya playing an entrepreneur named Nedumaran Rajangam and also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal, Mohan Babu.
