This is a beautifully and intelligently made film by former bureaucrat of Karnataka state government Channagangappa. Heading in various capacities including the Bangalore Development Authority Channagangappa has picked some crucial points and very efficiently put it on silver screen. He gets into the grip of the film very quickly on screen in his third directorial venture. The brilliance in Channagangappa is that he takes the audience thinking to great heights. Had he controlled some of the dialogues he would have got out of out marks. The grammar and glamour is intact.

Ramesh (Ramesh Aravind), Soundarya (Saakshi Shivanand) and Varsha (Baby Shreya) are leading a happy family. Soundarya heading the Ladies Club get hold of the original documents of a park from the corporation to move to the court. That is because the land grabbers are having eye on this public park. The land mafia is so strong, cut throat and ruthless that on knowing the original documents with Soundarya they kidnap Varsha in exchange of the document. In the meantime it is Soundarya who speaks with vigor to mafia don Johny (Gajar Khan). Although Ramesh sets the things in right condition by handing over the documents and getting back his daughter this is the beginning of loads of problems for the serene family of Ramesh.

For the haughty reply the land mafia don Johny got from Soundarya he strikes a direct deal with Ramesh. Johny (who has 113 cases pending against him for nefarious activities) asks Ramesh to leave his wife Soundarya for a day with him. This is in fact so shoddy and startling for Ramesh a chemical scientist in his profession. He develops the combinations in his lab and with the help of chloroform and cyanide in the dark rainy night he kills Johny. At the murder spot Ramesh loses his finger ring. That ring is very close to the heart of Ramesh because it is given by his pal Prakash who is a CBI officer.

The post interval is what captivatingly told by the director once Ramesh's close friend Prakash a CBI officer comes on the scene. Prakash stays in Ramesh house and he is supposed to unearth the murder of a mafia don and check the activities of land mafia in Bangalore. Ramesh is very certain that he would be caught one day makes arrangements for looking after the business by his wife Soundarya. He lies with his daughter that he is going abroad for two years to earn more money to set right the losses of his factory. He writes a letter to Soundarya and keeps it inside the table drawer. Soundarya reading it writes a reply and admit that she is responsible for the offence conducted by her husband. Ramesh is so clever that he sees to it his letter reaches his friend Prakash who is dealing this case.

The chief of CBI sets a deadline for Prakash to give final report that leads to some more quick developments. The day Prakash is supposed to leave for Delhi for another assignment he comes to Ramesh house. This is where Ramesh asks Prakash to arrest him for which Prakash says he is not the culprit. The flash back reopens. Prakash brilliantly handle the case and takes eye witness report from Johny murder from his opponent Nithin that clears the way for Ramesh. After taking the report from Nithin the rival land mafia don is gunned down by Prakash as he has ample powers. Ramesh is relieved on the grounds that he has killed the person whom Prakash was supposed to gun down.

In the last scene Prakash hand over the gold ring of which he found at the murder spot to his friend Ramesh that is very diplomatically handled by the director.

We get to see Ramesh Aravind of 'Amrutha Varshini'. He is extremely good in poised role and very lively in rest of the portions. This is the right kind of film for very calculative and clever actor Ramesh Aravind. The next best performers in this film are Baby Shreya and Rahul Dev. Bab
