Rajkummar Rao to Portray Sourav Ganguly in Upcoming Biographical Film

The lives of several cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar and M.S Dhoni, have been turned into movies. Following this trend, the life story of India’s former cricket captain and ex-BCCI president, Sourav Ganguly, is also being made into a film.

Actors like Ayushmann Khurrana and Ranbir Kapoor were considered for the role of Ganguly. However, Ganguly has confirmed that Rajkummar Rao will be portraying the main role. Speaking about the film, he said, “As far as I know, Rajkummar Rao will play the lead role. Due to scheduling conflicts, the shooting might take another year to begin.”
