SP Balasubrahmanyam's health has turned critical. He was hospitalized at Chennai's MGM Healthcare earlier this month after he contracted Covid-19. The legendary playback singer had only mild symptoms. But, within a few days, his health has taken a hit.

The singer was admitted on August 5. "In a late-night development on August 13, his condition has deteriorated. And based on the advice of the expert medical team attending to him, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and he is on life support and his condition remains critical," the hospital has said in a statement.

Just earlier on Friday, many reports said that SPB's health was stable. The truth, however, has turned out to be a sad one.
