Special day for 'Jilla' and 'Thegidi'

Today is the special day for two films that made it to the short list of super hit films that have released in the year 2014.

Neason directed Jilla starring Vijay, Mohan Lal and Kajal Aggarwal that released on January 10 as a grand Pongal release is celebrating its 100th day today. The film packaged as a neat commercial entertainer with all ingredients expected of Vijay films with Mohan Lal adding the attraction has made it strike chord with the audience. The 100th day celebration of Jilla has been organized in a famous Theatre in Chennai in which the film is still running. The film’s Producer R.B.Choudhary will be taking part while Vijay is also expected to grace the event.

Special day for 'Jilla' and 'Thegidi'

On the other hand Thegidi that released with less popular actors like Ashok Selvan and Janani directed by a debutante Ramesh completes 50 day run today. The film is still running in a few multiplexes in Chennai. The slick thriller packed with suspense element has enthralled all sections of audiences and that has made this low budget film achieve this feet which has become a rare phenomenon in the current trend at the box office.
