Sri Reddy Effect: Govt appoints high-level committee

The Government of Telangana has constituted a high-level panel to look into the sexual allegations in the Telugu film industry as and when they arise. This comes more than a year after Sri Reddy made a string of allegations about harassment.

The committee consists of some of the following members:

Prof. Vasanthi (NALSAR University), Dr Rama Devi of the Gandhi Medical College and Vijaya Lakshmi, a social activist.

From Tollywood, Supriya Yarlagadda, anchor Jhansi, and director Nandini Reddy have been included.

Any woman who faces workplace harassment can approach this committee, whose members will constitute an inquiry to arrive at the truth and recommend punishment to the Government.
