After a long hiatus of over thirty years, actress Sridevi has staged a comeback to South cinema with Vijay starrer Puli. The film ended up as a colossal flop and her portrayal as a queen evoked staunch criticism.

The latest update is that Sridevi has lodged a complaint against PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens, the producers of the film at Mumbai Producers Council. As the issue is related to Tamil cinema, the Mumbai Producers Council has escalated the case to Tamil Producers Council for further proceedings.

In her complaint, Sridevi, who charged a whopping Rs 5 crore for the film alleged that the producers of Puli have failed to clear the balance Rs 50 lakhs to her. After repeated requests, Sridevi didn't get an appropriate response from the makers and miffed with their behaviour the actress resorted to this step, says sources.

The Tamil Producers Council is expected to hold a high-level meeting to sort out the issue soon.
