Star son in 'Sankarabharanam' remake

Actor Nikhil's crime-thriller Sankarabharam is soon going to be remade in Kannada. The film which opened to poor reviews on December 4 eventually ended up as a disaster in Telugu. Inspired from Bollywood movie Phas Gayare Obama, the film has directorial supervision by Kona Venkat. The makers have reportedly acquired the remake rights of the Hindi film in four languages and are prodding to remake it in Kannada.
A Sandalwood star hero's son is likely to make his debut with this remake, says sources. The makers have decided to keep the details under the wraps. Kona Venkat will be providing the script assistance to this film, says the buzz. A big producer from Kannada is holding talks with producers Kona and MVV Satyanarayana and is planning to close the deal shortly.
The Kannada remake of Sankarabharam would go onto the sets in January, 2016.
